Export Awards 2010

Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd were named a winner of the Cairns Regional Export Awards 2010, on 15 October this year as Emerging Exporter of the Year.

In a joint statement from Premier and Minister for Arts, The Honourable Anna Bligh and Minister Stephen Robertson - Ms Bligh said that Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration was a deserving recipient of the Cairns Emerging Exporter Award for 2010.

"This locally owned business employs 45 people including 17 full-time apprentices," Ms Bligh said.

"This is Jackson & Jackson's first year for exporting, after securing a contract to build a germination chamber, seed processing and photo period facilities in Pakistan."

"I congratulate Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration on their success at the 2010 Cairns Regional Export Awards, and look forward to hearing of more international success stories from the Far North," Ms Bligh said.

Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd's marketing  strategy is to complete our first project successfully, and then leverage from this success, using the same dedicated team who manage our national sales for international sales.

Our strength is planning and risk management relying on both our powerful ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which we implemented when we started our business.  We use Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains for this purpose and have recently upgraded this system to the latest version.  We have also drawn on assistance from Austrade in this area.

Our company is committed to developing the export potential of the business, and the technology we have employed for our first project is based on a mixture of proven existing technology, along with new BMS (Building Management System) controls which have been adapted to suit the requirement for this project.
